So last night, Dec. 21, W got on a knee in the comfort of our home and asked me to marry him. It was so beautiful and very appropriate for the people we are. Of course I said yes, after I asked him a million times if he was serious because I didn't believe him! haha! So we've decided on either July 31 or Aug 1, depending on when a venue is open. We're both very excited. Oh! and here's a picture of my GORGEOUS 1 karat ring!!

Tomorrow...
He will be home!!! I'm beyond excited. I've even got to the point of counting down HOURS now. we have 27 hours left!!! WAHOOO!!!!!! He gave up his bag to take to the airport early today, but that's about all I know. All we've really talked about is how excited we are!!! :D It happens to be like the SLOWEST day in history at work here. I think I've got a total of like 3 calls in the 2.5 hours I've been here. I mean usually that's a blessing, but when you want time to move a little faster, not so much. I tried playing bejeweled, which usually occupies my time quite nicely, but since I'm the high scorer right now, there's not much of a goal to reach.. It's rather depressing! I have the blanket to work on, but we're not allowed to work on it until we move over to be operators and that's not for another 45 minutes! BAH! I'm about to go on break though. I'm not sure how that will occupy my time any better, but hey, I'll give it a shot.
I finished cleaning the house today. It was great. The kitchens clean, just gotta put the dishes away. I got a load in the washer, which I now remember I was supposed to move that over, so I'll do that when I get home. I've vacuumed, wrapped his presents, swept the kitchen, changed the sheets... I'm plum out of things to do. good thing I'll be working at 1 tomorrow so I won't have to fill so much empty time! Agh!
Anywho, I guess me writing this was really more of a time taker upper. Off to break...

One week..
Well, we're officially down to a week and I don't think either of us could get any more excited. And if you want to get technical, we're actually on 6 days right now! He gets in a 9:17 pm on the 18th, but he has a 4 hour layover in seattle, so he's going to see if he can get on a sooner flight into here! That'd be SWEEEET.
In other news Jessa had her second baby boy on the 9th at 2:49 am. He was about 5.5 weeks early and weighed in at 5 lbs 14 oz! He is just the most precious thing I've ever seen! He looks just like Will when he was just a little nugget. I haven't got to see him in person yet, just pictures since he was in the NICU for monitoring, but he's being released tomorrow so I get to go see him! I'm really excited!
I haven't been working out and it constantly weighs on my mind. I would love to go back, I just go and it doesn't feel good anymore. I'm hoping after I get this BIG dose of W I'll feel a lot better and want to go back more often. I think I just kind of felt short changed before. Only getting to see him 11 hours and all... I'm just going to bust my butt until he comes home for good at the end of March and I hope to really shock him! :P
My mom's blanket is coming along. I'm SOOO glose, yet SOOOO far away! out of 80 flowers I've done 65, so 15 more big flowers to go and all the fillers and border and such. I'm sure I'll get it done before Christmas, I'll just take it on the plane with me... maybe. I may be a little too preoccupied ;) I think what I'll do is just keep it at work and work on it here, since I'll still have to work while w is home, at least for a little bit :)
What else... not a whole lot. I was just telling a friend, I wish I had TONS to do, but I don't. I'm going to see the baby tomorrow. I have to mail out W's patches and crest first so he can wear them home, then Sunday my old boss just asked me to go to dinner or lunch with her. I may go to the gym that day, but other than that I just want to clean the house really good. I think I want to do the majority that day so I can just keep it clean and picked up until he comes home and maybe do some light cleaning right before, nothing too serious.
We're heading to Ohio for Christmas! Yay! We leave the 23rd! That's in 12 days. The only thing I'm scared of is that with all the traveling and all the stuff going on I'm afraid it'll make time go by really fast and that's the LAST thing I want!
Well, it's back to the blanket! I gotta get going on it!

Surviving with out him...
Well, life has been a little less than lifeless... I miss my man. I hate to say my life is lifeless because he's not around, because I'm a very strong independent woman, my damn I miss him. No matter how strong I am or ever will be it's hard not to miss the love of your life. I miss his hugs, his kisses, his smell. I miss driving and having him grab my hand. I miss the inspiration he gives me at the gym. I miss reading outloud and catching him sleeping when he wants so bad to listen. I miss his spaghetti. I miss him driving... period. I miss his big strong arms that can pick me up off the couch when i've passed out and take me to bed. I miss him playing with my hair. I miss his big lower lip. I miss the way he wiggles and squirms when I touch his toes. I miss givin him a nice deep massage after a long day at work. I miss him winking at me. I miss the random mornings when he'd wake up and cook a nice breakfast. I miss making him stay in the bathroom while I take a bath so he can talk to me. I miss curling up on the couch with him to watch a Clint movie. I miss him picking me up from work. Even though he's done it hundreds of times I still grin ear to ear when I see him in the truck. I miss getting a second opinion, even if I don't agree. I miss listening to him laugh at O&A, then later trying to explain it to me. I miss snuggling up on his chest, I seem to fit perfectly. I miss his big hands. I've told him, I love that you can engulf my hand with yours. Just means you'll be able to protect me. Mostly I miss his presence. Knowing you get to come home to something, rather than nothing is just the best feeling in the world.
I just have to keep reminding myself it's all worth it. The wait, the loneliness, the pain... He's all worth it.

A new look
So after staring at my lame blog space for a while I decided it needed an update. This is what I came up with. It was a bunch of gadgets and such! I think the picture slide show and just the pictures are my favorite part. So what do y'all think?
In other news, apparently I have just under 42 days left until my baby is home. He's currently at Ft Sam, TX in reception to start AIT. 6 more weeks. That's all I have. BLAH! My lovely boss and co workers set up a big digital clock with a count down until W gets home for Christmas Exodus! It was sooo sweet of them!
I've just got back to the gym yesterday. I ran and it hurt, but I did it and again today. I guess you can call me a gluten for punishment :) You don't get in shape just sitting there! No gym tomorrow because the gators play! WOOT! Ohio State plays too, but at like 730 in the morning so no way am I getting up for that, just recording it and may watch it later.
Well, that's all for now. I hadn't updated in a while so I thought i'd poke my head in. :)

Graduation!
So, I'm back. With TONS of stories. AGH! Most not so good. So I get in Tuesday night to Columbus. All is great. Wednesday we pack up and leave at night. So we're getting into Ft. Knox at about 11 at night. Well we(W's sister, myself and her 3 kids) are following her mom and dad in a car ahead of us. Well they end up taking the wrong exit and it takes us right to the gate. So we got acquainted with the gate early on. They told us to turn around and what not and we did and headed to our hotel. We got into bed around 11:30 and try as I might to fall asleep it just wasn't happening. I FINALLY fell asleep at a little past 2 am knowing I had to be up at 4 am. 4am rolls around and I'm up and adam.
Just a little background, we had discussed about what time we should leave. According to the letter we got it told us it would take a minimum of 90 minutes to get on base AND when W called the day before he told me that if we weren't there by 8am (graduation was at 9am) that we wouldn't get in the building because it was small.
So we figured if we leave by 6 that will get us on base as early as 730, putting us with enough time to be able to get into graduation. So our car full of 7 people pull up, they ask for the letter, and all our id's check em and send us on our way... SERIOUSLY... THAT'S IT?! haha! So after we got directions we decided to go a different way, resulting in us getting lost and having to come back and get scolded by the same guy who gave us directions. He was really funny about it.
We ended up pulling into our final destination at about 6:30... that's right. 2.5 hours before graduation is set to start. There's already a line forming and with a 4 month old, 2 year old and a 6 year old it just wasn't gonna happen for us. Well, about a half an hour in we saw the doors open so we headed over to the line. Well apparently that was just people going pee...
So we hear this guy say they're not opening the doors until 8 so we decided to suck it up and just stay out there. Mind you it's 7 am in Kentucky. It's not exactly WARM. Probably in the 40's or 50's. so 8 rolls around and nothing... One of the drills informs us that they're still practicing. fine... 8:15... nothing... 8:30... nothing... So at this point it's now been an hour and a half that we've been waiting outside! BAH! finally at about 8:40 they open the doors and we're let in.
As far as the ceremony it went really quick. I spotted W right when he walked in. He was supposed to be carrying the company guidon but due to a tie for the pt award they let the other guy carry the flag. W was pretty irked since he carried in in front of the company the whole cycle. So here they are marching in (this is actually first platoon)

Anyway, they released them and I just stayed back with his sister, kids and dad while his mom signed him out. I spotted him walking over and he hadn't spotted me yet. But I could tell the second he did. His face absolutely lit up. Here we are, right before hugging for the first time in TOO long...

and more...

FINALLY after the longest hug in history... we pulled back to see each other. I can guarantee my smile was JUST as big... He just kept telling me how amazing I looked and it was pretty obvious how amazing HE looks!

It was so good to finally be with him... we just hung out the rest of the trip. Ate a lot... haha. And just enjoyed each others company.
Here's a few more pictures for your enjoyment..
Us after graduation

His mom and dad with him

Him and his sister

Him and his oldest nephew

Him and his niece

And Just some of my handsome man... DAMN he's sexy!

So anyway, after we dropped him off we actually drove all the way back to Columbus. They made it pretty clear that we were not going to see him the next day, so don't even try. Well sure as shit I get a call from W the next morning saying it's 930a and we're heading to the airport and my flight doesn't leave until 330p. They told us our families could come hang out with us.... WTH!?! Ugh... So missed opportunities, but oh well...
So he's at Ft Sam Houston in San Antonio now awaiting his AIT to start which isn't going to be for another 2-3 weeks. He got told when his Christmas exodus is and got told to buy tickets now and so we're doing that. All in all it was a great trip. I got to hang out with Katie!! woohoo!! Here we are!!

That was about it. If you made it this far.. Kudo's!! And if you're wondering I've got 53 days until I see him next
YAHOO!!! And this time it will be for more than 10 hours and we'll get some much needed ALONE time

Leaving in...
3 days 12 hours... I can't believe it! I'm really nervous though. I got a letter yesterday from Bub telling me that he failed his final run. He said he was sick and only failed by about 20 seconds. I know he can do it. He said they'd let the people who didn't pass retake up until graduation so I'm hoping and praying he gets it and I find out soon. It definitely puts a damper on your day when you're not 100% sure you'll be seeing them when you go. ya know? My friend who's husband is a drill sergeant did say that they don't like to see them fail and they get in trouble for it, so they usually make sure they pass and he's even tested someone on the day of graduation, but there's always that negativity in the back of your mind, you know? I'm sure he'll do fine and make it... just keep him in your thoughts. I'm THIS close to my goal of being below 150 before I leave. I'm currently below and plan to maintain it, but who knows what my body will do. I didn't work out today, just really wasn't in the mood. I got tons to do before I leave in an obviously very short time! That's all I have for now. All the good thoughts you can muster up for my honey please! :)
