48 hours!

No, not the show. MY MAN! He comes home in exactly 48 hours. In fact, I'll be at the airport right now, waiting on him to walk out of security. Hopefully this time he won't have the ridiculous urge to pee... HA!

Last time he got a free upgrade to first class and he sat in 1B. I mean how much closer to the front can you get?! I was thinking to myself, what a GREAT spot for a man coming home to his woman on leave! So I wait, watching people from his plane coming out and I'm thinking to myself... what the hell?! He was in ONE B!! So I finally see the only man in uniform coming out and of course run to him and give him a giant hug. However, I will always remember, peeing was more important ;)

Back to the AWESOME point of this, Wayne is coming home! What's better? This time is FOR GOOD! I'm so ready for him to be home. Today marked 225 days away and it definitely feels like it. To top off all the great news... We're getting married in 130 days! OOOOH YEAH! It's the best feeling ever to know I'm marrying my best friend.

Welp, until I get bored tomorrow night thinking about how he's only a sleep away... ;)

broken comments

I realize I don't have a lot of people that read my blog, but I just realized that the comments section didn't work due to the stupid captcha thing. Well once I realized something was wrong I did some searching and fixed it! I just removed that stupid thing!! So, not that you ever commented before, but if you want to now, you can do it freely :)

Wishing I could be there...

Well, W got back from being out in the field for 2 weeks with out communication yesterday. I wasn't expecting him to get back until today, so to get a phone call yesterday was GLORIOUS! He sounded beat and after hearing what he had been through, my heart just broke.

After being out there a day and going into it severely sick he got to the point where he couldn't even keep water down and was throwing up through most of his training. I guess at that point they decided he needed to go to the hospital. They took him from Camp Bullis, aka middle of nowhere, to the hospital on base, where they proceeded to pump him full of liquids as he was severely dehydrated. Apparently that did it, because he felt a million times better and could actually eat now! Yay!

So he's got his PT test on Monday and he's GOT to pass it. He's really down right now because he hasn't passed it yet. It makes me want to be there for him. I just want to go and give him the biggest hug and kiss and say, listen... you CAN do this. Shit, I'd run it with him! Well, at least the last mile! It makes me so sad to see him so down when he has accomplished SO much.

I keep saying he'll be home in 6 days or 10 days or whatever it may be, but the reality is, he could not be home for another 2 weeks. I don't believe that will happen and I've been throwing up some prayers lately to help give him that extra boost to pass, but it could happen...

So if anyone actually reads this, could you please keep my dear lover in your thoughts. He takes his test Monday and I think a ton of support is JUST what he needs :)

Crème Brûlée!! (a post inspired by STEENA! (you go girl!))

Yes, I was craving crème brûlée SO bad that I just went and ahead and made it! It was my first time every making it, but I think I did a pretty good job! :P And as the title of the post read, this is a post inspired by Steena's Style. She's an awesome blogger! I can never wait to read them!

So we started out by boiling the water

Then we warm the cream, sugar and vanilla

We prepare the baking dish with a damp towel

Get out our little ramekins!

We tempur the egg mixture with the cream mixture...

pour, fill with water and bake :)

And the final product!! Pardon the uneven browning as I don't have a blow torch so just had to use my  broiler.

aaaand it must have been delicious ;)
